Students of secondary schools in the Žilina Region could participate in this competition, and their photos had to be taken in the territory of the Žilina Region.

The topic of sustainable mobility in favor of improving air quality is the subject of a series of workshops organized by the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, the Slovak Environmental Agency and other partners within the LIFE IP - Air Quality Improvement project. The workshop was held in person and was the second such workshop this year on the topic of sustainable mobility and examples of good practice. It took place on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Košice, at the TABAČKA KULTURFABRIK cultural center and focused on the Košice and Prešov regions.

Transport is one of the important factors in the development of modern society and economy. However, it also has its dark side – the increase in individual car traffic, traffic jams, air pollution, increased noise, which ultimately leads to a deterioration in the health and quality of life of residents of cities and municipalities. The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Environmental Agency, as in 2021, also in 2022 prepared a series of workshops for representatives of local governments and the professional public focused on the issue of sustainable mobility, presenting examples of good practice in favor of improving air quality.

Thanks to the measures taken in the field of air protection, the air quality in our cities is constantly improving. Air quality improvement programs and strategic planning documents, which are currently being prepared by district offices in the regional seat, also with the help of air quality managers, should also contribute to further positive change. Fresh information on this and other topics was provided at a workshop organized as part of the LIFE IP project - Improving Air Quality, which took place on January 26, 2022, focusing on the Bratislava, Trnava and Trenčín regions. Similar workshops for other regions were organized in 2021.
France gives space to sustainable mobility

From March 1, 2022, France will make it mandatory to include sustainable mobility messages in car advertisements. In order to reduce emissions, the country is using the same concept as in the fight against unhealthy eating, where health recommendations are mandatory in advertising messages.
