In cooperation with the retail chain TESCO STORES SR, an information awareness campaign aimed at supporting measures in the area of ​​air quality and raising public awareness of the importance of air protection in Slovakia took place during the month of June. The chain's customers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the issue of air protection in the form of radio spots and "populair" promotional stands on the topic of sustainable mobility. It was possible to meet our air quality managers in person in selected stores in Bratislava, Trnava, Nitra, Rožňava, Trebišov, Žilina, Ružomberok, Snina and Kežmarok.

Spreading awareness in the area of ​​air quality is a process of constant promotion. We try to inform the public about air protection and steps to improve it through as many media outlets as possible. One of the forms is a discussion show. You can learn more in the video.

In the Žilina self-governing region, a photo competition on the topic "Better world - cleaner air" was organized as part of the Populair LIFE IP project - Improving air quality. Students of secondary schools in the Žilina Region could participate in this competition, and their photos had to be taken in the territory of the Žilina Region.

The international conference Effective Air Quality Management took place in Banská Bystrica from 7 to 8 September 2021, organized within the LIFE IP – Air Quality Improvement project. The aim of the meeting of representatives of state and self-governing bodies, educational institutions, the private and non-profit sector was to open a dialogue, establish cooperation and seek solutions to improve air quality in Slovakia.

September 7 belongs to the air. The United Nations has declared this date as the International Day of Clean Air. On this day, Member States are drawing attention to the measures taken to improve air quality. This year's motto of the UN campaign is "Healthy air, a healthy planet".

Exactly in one week, on September 7th, 2021, the international conference Effective Air Quality Management will start in Banská Bystrica. The event is organized by the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the Slovak Environment Agency within the LIFE IP – Air Quality Improvement project.

The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Environment Agency are organizing an international conference Effective Air Quality Management 2021 on September 7 - 8, 2021, focusing on possibilities and tools to support the improvement of air quality in Slovakia. The event, intended primarily for representatives of state and local authorities, will take place in Banská Bystrica, at the Dixon Hotel.

Unsatisfactory air quality in Slovakia can also stem from insufficient awareness. Minister of Environment Ján Budaj introduced new web application dnesdycham.sk, which aims to inform public on air quality in Slovakia in a simple, comprehensible way.
