The public had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the content of the program from October 29, 2025 and send any comments within 21 days. During the hearing, a representative of the SHMÚ personally commented on the comments and recommendations that were included in the Assessment Report and sent to the District Office within the specified deadline. They covered several aspects, such as the use of data and data for high-resolution modelling, modelling of transboundary transport of pollutants, the contribution of particulate matter (PM) from natural sources and the assessment of the share of PM emissions in the vicinity of large sources of air pollution.

Subsequently, a discussion took place on the planned method of deducting measures in the AQIP how best to include these measures in the data update process for modelling the effect of measures in the future. Municipalities that are identified as at risk according to the AQIP have an obligation to actively inform residents about the consequences of improper heating, which leads to air pollution, health problems, reduced comfort, faster wear and tear and damage to heating equipment, as well as increased costs for their repair. A so-called awareness package will be sent to municipalities and district offices in the region, ensuring the necessary awareness and support at the local level.
